You ever had one of those days where you wake up at 6am, and you say “YEAH today I’m going to get so much stuff done!”

Then you get on Facebook. And all of a sudden it’s 8pm?

Time can get away from you so easily these days. Distractions everywhere.

Back in the day.. let’s say, the 1500’s.

Back in the 1500’s, we had no technology. And no TV.

So if you wanted to knit a scarf.. you woke up, had breakfast, then knit a scarf, and knit the scarf till your scarf was knit.

You’d get it done.

But nowadays, you’d probably get distracted by 10am. Instagram, Emails, and those stupid videos on Facebook that say “This Video OMG I can’t even!” where you just know you shouldn’t watch it but you still watch the whole thing whereafter you tell yourself you’ll never do it again but oh wait this one looks cool and it already started playing, let’s watch this one.

Life is great. But more and more things are screaming for your attention these days.

So much that as a society we’re majoring in minor things. It’s getting harder and harder to get things done.

If there’s one thing we all need more of these days (and I sound like a grandpa, but listen here sonny)

The more we focus on small things and worry about details, the more excuses we come up with, and the less results we get.

This goes for your fitness as well.

You can’t have everything perfect.

The perfect foods, calorie count, and the ideal ratio between carbs – fat – protein.

(Aside from Dutch cheese) Nothing is perfect, and nothing ever will be.

We’re already too busy worrying about our kids, dog, mortgage, laundry – so asking yourself whether you should workout in the AM or PM will make you not workout at all.

Simplicity is what we need.

Like this. Here’s how your workouts should go ->

FIRST >>> Go to the gym. Warm up.

THEN >>> If you feel good, you go hard. If you don’t feel good, you go easy

BECAUSE >>> You’re going to be working out for the rest of your life anyway.

We already have enough excuses to not do it. We have way too much stuff coming at us that causes us to overthink.

So don’t add any more to the pile and just get it done.

There will never be a more valuable asset than your own time – remember your ‘reason why’ and use your time wisely,
